GeorGIA has been musical for a long time, she started playing the violin at the age of seven. She then took the decision to start learning the guitar once she entered High School after being inspired by a guitar master class. After getting her grounding with classicial guitar she decided to progress onto playing more contemporary music to enable her to develop and explore her own individual style through her new found love of song writing.
A Word from GeorGIA
“My main experience of performing has been through school shows but has developed after winning two local competitions in 2010: Guildhall X Factor competition and the Tamworth Rotary Club ‘Search for a Star’. This enabled me to sing at the Christmas light switch on for both towns as well as performing at the Stafford and Stone School Sport Partnership Presentation evening.
I practise on a daily basis in my room but this proves difficult to rehearse properly, as I can’t use my amp (Marshall AS50 Acoustic) and microphone (Shure) at full volume. I have recently invested in a Boss RC3 Loop Pedal to develop my music. I enjoy listening to KT Tunstall and this has been my inspiration to experiment with the Loop Pedal. I also enjoy listening to The Script, Coldplay and Jackson5, all of which have influenced my music to some degree along with everyday life experiences; I see my music as a means of self expression.
“Music is the literature of the heart; it commences where speech ends"
