The X factor live auditions have just finished in Manchester - but the line-up for the premier talent contest for musicians from Stafford Borough has now been announced.
The Raw Talent competition is a hunt for the best young singers and musicians in the area with the winner getting a chance of clinching a record deal.
And in July all the young hopefuls will be performing a 15-minute slot live for thousands of shoppers and visitors in the Market Square, Stafford. The competition, run by Stafford Borough Council, is open to bands, singers, and songwriters aged between 13 and 21 years old.
Auditions for the popular event were held last month and the eight finalists, and the times they will be performing, were announced today (Tuesday 14 June) as:
· 1.05pm Georgia-Millie, 16 year old singer from Castlefields, Stafford
· 1.20pm Scott Hill, 15 year old singer/guitarist from Saxon Fields, Stafford
· 1.35pm The State Line Fracture band, four piece aged 17 – 20 from Stafford

They will line up on the new ‘Stage Bus’ in the town’s Market Square on Saturday 2 July from 1pm. The overall winner will have the opportunity to work with Stafford-based recording label, Assorted Records to promote and distribute their music. The best band, singer and singer/songwriter will have a day in the Ingestre Arts Recording Studio.
The event is supported by local promoters Red Spot and music professionals from Assorted Records and the recording studio at Ingestre will be judging the competition on the day.
