HOMEGROWN musical talent will take centre stage this weekend, during a concert at Stafford Railway Station.
Artists from Stafford label, Assorted Records, will entertain visitors to the town’s station, performing live on the platforms between midday and 2pm.
Singer/songwiters Sophie Bohanan, Tammy Davis and GeorGIA Stanway are all scheduled to appear, with other artists from the local label expected to be added.
Assorted Records was set up by Staffordshire University students Peter Roch to showcase original, young talent from within the borough.
Initially financed with backing from The Prince’s Trust as part of a university project, the label has gone from strength to strength since its formation in September last year, signing versatile acts from within the county of Staffordshire and even spreading their wings to capture artists from as far afield as continental Europe.
